Our Location

Our lovely lodge is located in the village of Kilamatembo, just 30 minutes from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area gate.

Driving from Manyara and heading to Karatu: Approximately 30-minutes drive (22 kms) from Mtu wa Mbu to Rhotia. Turn left just as you enter Rhotia town and follow the rough road to the small hamlet of Kilamatembo, approximately 4 kms. You will pass fields and local homes, with some light treeline throughout.
The lodge can be seen from a distance, up on a hill overlooking the community.

Driving from Karatu toward the Escarpment: Approximately 10 minutes drive (7 kms) from Karatu town to Rhotia village. Take a right turn off the highway just as you exit the village and follow the rough road to the small hamlet of Kilamatembo, approximately 4 kms past agricultural fields and homes.

The lodge can be seen from a distance, up on a hill overlooking small shops and a football pitch.
