Our Mission
Three Little Birds Boutique Lodge is founded on the belief that a business can uplift a community while offering guests an enjoyable and authentic experience in the heart of Tanzania’s Northern highlands.
Our cozy lodge offers just 6 rooms, so that each of our guests receives top-quality service. Our family rooms are designed with your kids in mind, with comfortable children’s beds to crafts and games to keep them entertained before dinner.
Our “Love Birds” suite is intentionally set in a beautiful, romantic spot for couples seeking additional privacy.
We invite guests to relax, tour a local school, take a nature hike, and try some typical Tanzanian cuisine.
ABOUT OUR MENU
We incorporate locally-sourced ingredients into our menus. This means that guests taste traditional Tanzanian meals made with local produce. We directly support local farmers, community graineries, and small businesses. We source eggs, beans, honey, and corn from our neighbors in the small village of Kilamatembo.
Other produce is sourced from local markets which enhances the local economy and builds up our community.
When you eat a meal at Three Little Birds, you are tasting the Ngorongoro Highlands and uplifting the local community.
ABOUT OUR TOURS
Our local tours, including nature hikes and school visits, are guided by team members who hail from this community; individuals who grew up here and are passionate about respectfully showing off their ‘stomping grounds’ to visitors.

Our charming boutique lodge offers six rooms, designed for families, individual travelers or couples on a romantic holiday. Each room offers a unique view of the breathtaking Ngorongoro Highlands.
